Technical information about this website’s accessibility
NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is committed to making its websites accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
The NHS South Yorkshire ICB Involvement Team will review the content on a 6 monthly basis to ensure all new content remains compliant with WCAG 2.2, with full reviews undertaken annually, next scheduled May 2026.
How accessible this website is
We know that some parts of this website are not fully accessible, and most PDFs are not fully accessible for screen reader software.
Accessibility features have not yet been added to this site. These would allow the following:
- Screen reader - reading aloud website text, which can be customised to suit
- Reading support:
- Ruler to read line by line,
- Reading mask to eliminate distraction,
- Magnifier to zoom in to sections of text
- Fully integrated dictionary and thesaurus
- Margins to reposition text in text-only
- Translation - including 35 text-to-speech voices.
- Text Styling: ability to customise the website colour scheme as well as the text font style, size, colour and spacing
We are working towards a solution to improve this and will update the accessibility statement accordingly. Opportunities to improve accessibility will be identified during the 6 monthly and annual reviews for compliance with WCAG 2.2.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with accessibility regulations:
- Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen reader software and may contain poor colour contrast content.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
Most of the pages on the site are PDFs, to which accessibility features can’t currently be applied to by using accessibility software we have available to us at this time. We will seek out suitable alternatives with suppliers which support accessibility in due course, likely to be in 6 months time.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was originally prepared and published in May 2025. The test was carried out by Frank Digital.
Our next website accessibility test is scheduled for May 2026. We will update this accessibility statement with any relevant changes.

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. We are working towards compliance for accessing PDFs due to the large volume of PDFs on the site.

- Email syicb.
